The lid sits perfectly snug and the interior is smooth as glass despite the "second" tag, and the slight unevenness at the bottom doesn’t affect even heating at all on my gas stove. Best $70 I’ve spent on cookware in years.
The "factory second" label scared me a little, but I honestly can't find the cosmetic flaw even up close, and the thick cast iron heats about as evenly as my pricier pots.
